Mill Controller
Mill Controllers are responsible for overseeing the operations of a sawmill or a wood processing facility. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that the production process runs smoothly and efficiently.
Mill controllers develop and implement production schedules in order to manage the timing and efficiency of wood production processes. They monitor these processes to ensure that product production runs smoothly and efficiently and is conducted in a safe manner. A key responsibility is ensuring all employees working under their management are safe operating equipment. They manage quality standards and identify and resolve any issues that occur.
This position may also be referred to as a Wood Processing Manager, General Manager or Mill Production Supervisor. Sometimes overlaps with the role of a Mill Manager.
