About Forestry Careers

Our Purpose

ForestryCareers.com seeks to introduce students from middle school to undergraduate level to the many Green Jobs the forestry industry has to offer. 

With a focus especially on the commercial forestry industry, this site shows that there is a forestry job for everyone. This website can be used in the classroom or on an individual level. School teachers, guidance counselors and parents are encouraged to review the site with students.

There is a forestry job for everyone:

  • Education level requirements range from high school diploma to graduate degree.
  • There are physical, blue collar jobs and in-depth research positions.
  • There are roles in the outdoors as well as indoor-only roles

How to use this site

Forestry Lifecycle Lessons

This website offers a tour through the forest lifecycle. For each stage in the forest lifecycle, there is:

  • A dedicated page introducing that stage in the lifecycle.
  • A listing of green jobs that work in that lifecycle stage.
  • Links to subtopic pages, which feature video-based lessons and questions.

Our careers section includes job profiles, a directory of colleges and vocational schools offering forestry-related courses, and an over view of the types of salaries the industry has to offer.
